Just a Thought - 12/18/2020

Greetings in the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach - Jesus the Messiah!

Here's hoping that every member of FHG along with others who might be following our blogs are, by God's grace, continuing to do well.

As our beloved nation anxiously awaits the final results of the Presidential elections, other happenings of great import are taking place both here and abroad. I am not going to write extensively about everything or even a few things currently happening because as you know, I am not very fond of either reading or writing. That said, please allow me to briefly mention one or two items of significance.

For those of you who, like me, have studied the US Constitution or somehow made yourself aware of its contents, you would know that Presidential elections are not final until January 6th. I expect that you are also aware that January 6th is the day on which Electoral College votes are counted by the Vice President. It is likely that because of the recent submission of double Electoral votes for 7 States, the vice President may have to allow every State a single vote or pass the responsibility onto the US congress to decide the Presidency by congressional vote. Since we are all Americans familiar with our Constitution, it is not my intent to here provide the reader a lesson on the United States voting process, provisions and contingencies, but simply to let everyone know that despite the claims of the popular media, to date, ex-vice President Joseph Biden is not the President or President-elect of the US. Granted, it may be that we will have a President Biden, but not until the proceedings of January 6th are completed and our Lord decides the outcome. I might add here, that whatever the outcome, we must understand that it is God who removes kings and sets up kings (Daniel 2:21) and our responsibility would be to pray for the one whom God has elected.

Secondly, yet another Muslim country has demonstrated an interest in normalizing relations with Israel. You may not be aware, but every Pakistani travel passport carries its Government print: "Valid for travel to every country except Israel." Well, that is about to change. Pakistan is one of the largest Muslim nations in the world and the only one with nuclear weapons. With the possibility of a Biden Presidency and its promised re-instating of the Iran Nuclear Deal, Pakistan has developed an understandable fear of Iranian hostilities. In fact, the US is right now closely watching a brand new development in Iran where an underground facility is being prepared for the purpose of advancing nuclear weapons technology. This is happening at this time because Iran is convinced that Trump will be soon out of office and a Biden administration would not seriously oppose Iran's rush to fulfill her nuclear ambition. Coupled with that fear, is Pakistan's desire to initiate better trading relations with the UAE and the Saudis. It is very interesting that leaders of both the Emirati and Saudi States have been encouraging the Pakistanis to move towards normalization with Israel for the ensuing trade benefit for the entire region. Pakistan wants to accomplish this goal while President Trump is in office, to ensure that she will receive full support.

I should be amiss if at this juncture I fail to include one of many latest anti-Semitic rants originating with some of the members of the Democratic party. There are those who have promised that as soon as Biden takes office, all the normalization agreements with Israel must be reversed. This promise can only be rooted in the desire to not allow any legacy to President Trump. It is my understanding however, that God is involved in the affairs of men and will divert all of man's doings to His divine purpose.

Finally, at the time of writing this, our nation is awaiting the immanent approval of the Moderna vaccine. As we all know, the Pfizer vaccine is being administered presently to health care workers and long term health care patients. With the Moderna approval and hopefully soon, the Astra Zeneca vaccine, there should be enough doses for everyone who wants to take it.

Please continue to pray for our nation, our Government, our health care, the soon availability of vaccines for all and the Lord's faithful protection always.

From my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Chag molad sameach,

God Bless!

Pastor Chandroo
