Greetings in the Name of our heavenly Emmanuel.
Here's hoping that all of you are doing well and continuing to stay safe from the COVID virus and any other dangers. May our great God protect us from all harm.
As everyone knows, in January of this year the most prestigious Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was assassinated on Iranian soil by the United States. Qasem Soliemani was one of the most feared military generals because of his direct involvement in the killing of Jews, Sunni Muslims in the region and hundreds of US soldiers serving in the Middle East. The Sunni world, Israel and the US praised the efforts of President Trump who received the needed Israeli intelligence in order to effect the strike.
Soliemani's death however represented the elimination of only one of the two greatest Iranian threats; the other being the Iranian Nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
As you all know, Israel eliminated this second man on last Friday. His assassination was also conducted on Iranian soil and by remote control explosions followed by machine gunfire. Once again, Israel, the Sunni Arabs and the US military congratulated the efforts of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Two hours ago from the time of this writing at 10am, Iranian Government officials reported that both the explosions and gunfire were triggered by Israeli satellite. Not surprisingly, members of the US Democratic party including the former CIA head, John Brennan voiced their disapproval of both events claiming that such strikes will hamper the possibility of re-instating the Iran Nuclear Deal as promised by projected President Biden. Iran has vowed to avenge the killing of both Soliemani and Fakhrizadeh by launching massive military strikes against Israel. Personally, I doubt that Iran would engage Israel in any military action during the Trump period, but will instead wait for Biden for whom they harbor absolutely no respect.
At this juncture let me remind you that although the news media is referring to Mr. Biden as "President elect", he has not yet been elected President. For now, Mr. Joe Biden is still only the projected President and if the Lord permits it, he will become the 46th President of the US when all US States have certified their election results and the Electoral College has finalized their votes. In other words, President Trump may continue for another 4 years unless God chooses to do otherwise.
I hope that you are all staying aware of what is currently happening in the Middle East. Jared Kushner is meeting with the Saudis at the time of my writing this message and there is every reason to believe that Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman is entertaining thoughts of normalizing relations with Israel. The moderate Sunni Muslims are extremely fearful of a possible Biden Administration's rejoining of the Iran Nuclear Deal. This move will devastate the Middle East by emboldening the hostile Shiite regime against both the Sunnis and Israel. I am not going to write about all the matters of great significance taking place in the Middle east right now, but I see reason for us to 'look up' for our redemption draws near. That said, allow me to point you to 2 Peter 3:9.
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
