Greetings in the Name of the Son of the "Sweet Singer of Israel." - 2 Samuel 23:1
As Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran demonstrate their joyous excitement at the potential Biden victory by daily dancing in the streets of South Lebanon, Gaza and Tehran respectively, bible believing Christians are becoming increasingly concerned over the possible fallout from the recent US elections. The fact that nations extremely hostile to Israel and the US celebrate Biden's victory, is cause for serious investigation into what might happen next in the Middle East. Some have even suggested a potential war breakout in December between Iran on the one hand and Israel and the United States on the other. I prefer to not comment on that. What seem more plausible in the next 69 days however are the following:
1) The Trump Administration would no longer concentrate its efforts on expanding the Abraham Accords, but rather solidifying the relationship among Israel and the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan. That is not to say that other nations would not be welcomed in the Trade/Peace agreements with Israel, but I suspect that President Trump would tackle issues of great consequence during his next few weeks in office. While writing this, my mind goes back to 1 Thessalonians 5:3. Prior to our recent elections, some nine countries including Saudi Arabia, were poised to enter the Abraham Accords. It is understandable that several countries that were once ready to make peace with Israel will no longer have the incentive to do so under a President Biden. Don't forget that Rasheeda Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar are all openly vocal about their hatred for the Jewish State. It would be interesting to see who would compose the Biden's cabinet.
2) It is my belief that the current administration would shrink US military presence in the Middle East region. This would of course mean the possible closing of our embassies in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan along with the pulling back of our troops from those regions. Trump has always reminded the American people that there is no logical reason for the lives of American troops to be placed in harm's way in regions where we have little or no interest. It would therefor not surprise me if our troops were relocated elsewhere in the next few weeks. That said, it is likely, in my opinion, that we would still soon sell 50 F-35 stealth fighters to the UAE without compromising Israel's military edge. This deal has been in the works for some time and would materialize either during the waning days of the Trump administration or soon thereafter.
3) As you all know, Biden has promised to rejoin the Trump-rejected Iran nuclear deal within months of taking office. The current administration however is planning a massive onslaught of new sanctions on Iran over its ballistic missile program, assistance to terror groups and human rights violations. Trump's goal is to slap as many sanctions as possible on Iran until January 20th. This is in the hope that Iran would abandon its military ambitions, curtail its ability to be the world's largest State sponsor of terrorism and force the Shiite nation to be accommodating to all religious faiths. As you read my post here, you might be thinking "Can the Biden administration reverse these sanctions?" The answer is "yes" and that would be to the great detriment of both Israel and the more moderate Sunni Arab nations in the region. It is my belief that Trump will impose the strictest sanctions on Iran, so that a Biden's undoing of such sanctions would drive the Sunni Muslims towards making peace overtures with the Jewish State. I hope that you all see the connection.
Now, I am neither a prophet (I am a member of a non-profit organization) nor am I a politician, but I feel strongly about what I have shared here with you and I do believe that if Biden wins the White House, we would have been catapulted so much closer to the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that everyone reading this post is ready.
