Greetings to all in the glorious name of the alpha and the omega.
I am writing this post at a time when the US electoral votes are still being counted. There is yet no clear Presidential winner but VP Biden has 264 while President Trump holds 214 electoral votes. As you all know, the US Electoral College determines that the winner of the election is the candidate who is awarded 270 votes. In the final analysis, God will determine which contender is the victor and will no doubt have some God-ordained purpose for His choice. It will be our responsibility to pray for our nation's leader whether he be former Vice President Joe Biden or current President Donald Trump.
Some of you may have already heard, but I was informed only one hour ago that as per our leaders in Sacramento. California State has been shifted from the Covid-19 red tier to the dreaded purple tier. This is not good news and may suggest closures and re-closures in many areas. As you would suspect, indoor church services are now again prohibited until further notice. This is most disappointing for all places of worship but we are left with no option other than to comply with our State medical restrictions. Like all of you, I was anxiously looking forward to reopening our FHG facility on November 29th. I hope every one understands that it would be most irresponsible of me to encourage indoor services while placing our membership at serious health risks. That said, I will continue to provide you with online Sunday and Wednesday messages until the Lord allows differently. I will also keep everyone informed re: updated California Covid-19 restrictions.
Please note that my upcoming couple or three video posts continue to advertise our November 29th opening date. This is because they were prepared before we were moved to the purple tier.
Our God and our Father, we pray for continuing safety for the members and their families of FHG. You have protected us from the dreadful COVID virus that has devastated the world and while we cannot pretend to know or understand your purposes, we nevertheless firmly plant our faith and trust in your all-knowing self. Grant us the patience to endure this difficult period, the will to read and study your holy word and the joy of knowing that despite visible circumstances, our God reigns. Amen.
