Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to all who are reading this.
First, I want to draw your attention to the testimony tab on our website. There is a special prayer request there for which we must all seek the Lord's help.
Secondly, I want to acknowledge and thank sister Sue for her recent phone call in which she updated me on the Israel/Sudan normalization news coming out of the Middle East
Thank you sister Sue.
Apart from hundreds of minor scuffles, there have been three major wars between Israel and her Arab neighbors since the establishment of the Jewish State. 1948, 1973 and 1967 were all marked by horrible bloodshed involving Israel. In every instance, it was clear that the Jews were the non-aggressors and were forced into totally defensive engagements.
The ongoing and yet unresolved dispute over the holy city of Jerusalem has always been a contentious issue for most in the Middle East. The country of Sudan sent anti-Israel troops to all three conflicts and it was in Sudan's Capital of Khartoum where the Arab league declared the following three infamous 'NO's':
1) NO peace with Israel
2) NO recognition of Israel
3) NO negotiations with Israel
After decades of hostility against the Jewish State, a most remarkable and unforeseen event took place just two days ago. In the words of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"Today Khartoum says: YES to peace with Israel, YES to recognition of Israel and YES to negotiations and normalization with Israel."
"Today is another great example of what is possible when you have strong and smart American leadership in the Middle East and throughout the world. For those who follow the history of this conflict the significance of this cannot be overstated enough." - Jared Kushner
When asked to comment on the new normalization process taking place in the Middle East, the Jewish Prime Minister said:
"We're not engaging in bloodshed, we're not engaging in antagonism. We are engaging in cooperation for the present and the future....we are seeing the fruits of peace right now, days after signing these agreements." The Prime Minister continued : "We have never seen anything like this - it's mind-boggling! Iran is unhappy, Hezbollah is unhappy , Hamas is unhappy, but most everybody else is very happy and they should be, because peace is a good thing...what does it feel like? It's amazing!"
It is unmistakable that the Trump Middle East peace plan dubbed the "Abraham Accords" is forging ahead with lightning speed in a region of the world that has been troubled by endless wars. I am proud of America's accomplishment in the peace agreements taking place in the last two months. While every single American President has failed to achieve the goal that Trump has achieved, I believe that none of this would have been possible had it not been for the divine hand of almighty God paving the way for it. I still believe that the prophet was right when he wrote that it is God who raises up kings and removes kings. Why would God take that responsibility upon Himself if not to employ those he chooses in His service. God makes NO mistake at all and everything that He does is right!
On his Friday phone call with Netanyahu, our President made a very profound prediction when he said "I'm sure you will see Saudi Arabia in there very soon. I really believe that will happen too."
Ladies and gentlemen, I want you all to understand that should the Saudis entertain a peace agreement with the Jewish State, that will be nothing less than startling. The US President openly acknowledged that there are many players in the international community such as Russia, China and Iran who do not want to see him continue for four more years but went on to promise that if he wins the upcoming election he will draw even Iran into his Abraham Accords. (Now, I hasten to say that I would love to see that happen, but I am not holding my breath)
Just so all the members of FHG understand, I cannot wait to open the word of God and explain to you exactly what is taking place in the Middle East For now, I can only assure you that this is a fulfillment of bible prophecy written centuries before Christ and it is nothing short of unbelievable. We are living in a very exciting period as we rush towards the greatest event promised in scripture. We will have to look at current Middle East happenings through the lens of the bible and I think we will be allowed to do so very soon.
In the mean time, please stay tuned to our website, study along on Wednesdays and Sundays and stay informed through reading my "Just a Thought" postings.
God bless you all.
