Just A Thought - 10/19/2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As everyone knows, it was our intention to reopen our FHG facility on November 1st, but after hearing the latest news from the San Diego County Public Health Officials, I decided against it

Several warnings have been issued highlighting the sudden spike in our Covid-19 daily case numbers and the fact that we may be moving from the red to the purple tier this week. We have done extremely well so far and as far as I am aware, no one from FHG has contracted the deadly virus. Now would not be the time to take any chances, especially since many in our membership do have underlying health conditions. I am saddened as you are by the news out of our local health department but would rather wait a little longer until we can be more confident of minimal health risk. I will continue to provide your weekly Wednesday bible studies, Sunday messages and my "Just A Thought" Please be kind enough to continue your faithful financial contributions to our church rent for soon I hope and believe, we will be able to open our church. Please continue to pray.

Now for a little current news:

While 83% of American Jews support a second term for our President and while Israeli rabbis continue to pray for the same, it was disturbing to see former Vice President Joe Biden's promise to introduce Muslims into every level of his administration. On last Wednesday, the former Vice President addressed the 15th-anniversary event of the Muslim Advocates, an association of Muslim lawyers. Of course the well known Jew hater, Rasheeda Tliab was one of Biden's featured spokespersons. This is downright scary! California senator Kamala Harris declared in her debate with Vice President Mike Pence just about two weeks ago, that the Biden administration would definitely reinstate the Iran Nuclear Arrangement which President Trump refused to endorse in the best interest of Israel, the US and the world. As you already know, there are many officials in the Vice President's party who despise Israel and Israel's God. Many have repeatedly openly spoken against the Jewish State and I fear to even think of what would happen to our now very close relationship with the Jewish people under a Biden/Harris administration. Please pray that God not allow such a tragedy to take place.

Finally, several weeks ago, I gave you the following assignment.: Comment on the passage in Matthew 5: 14-16. Absolutely no one responded. A proper understanding of the words of Jesus in that passage of scripture is so critical that I am once again reassigning the same. Please take a few minutes to address this assignment and share everything that you think the passage means. Of course, I would appreciate your responses.
