Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I want to first of all thank both Deacon George and sister Marie for their responses to the last FHG assignment. I made a few comments and suggestions which will hopefully help them, but I certainly appreciate their taking the time to share their responses with me.
Secondly, please open our site's newsletter. Yesterday, sister faith uploaded her new FHG newsletter which is timed for one of Israel's major feast celebrations, happening now. You will enjoy her presentation.. That said, I want to again acknowledge sister Faith's faithful contribution towards the FHG website. Every one of my sermons and bible study videos along with every one of my 'Just a Thought" articles is edited and published by sister Faith. Needless to say, I could not submit my studies to you apart from sister Faith's help. After reading the newsletter, kindly send some feedback (comments or questions) to sister Faith. Your feedback may be valuable as it would reflect your interests for upcoming newsletters.
Finally, your assignment for today:
Churches throughout our nation have always hosted representatives of different political parties and encouraged them to share their political visions. Unfortunately, this could not happen in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has mandated the closure of all churches.
Question: Should the church limit its societal involvement to matters of evangelism or should it also be engaged in the political life of its nation?
Your response should be no less than 300 and no more than 1000 words and must include scripture to support your argument.
I estimate this assignment to require about 7-10 minutes of your time. You may submit your responses to me via email, text or the FHG website. To be read, your responses must be submitted by 10/10/2020.
God Bless you.
Just a Thought
