Greetings to all in the wonderful Name of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
Yesterday, as I was skimming through some world news, I came upon a piece of information which I think and hope FHG members would find interesting.
Sister Sue recently left me a voice mail in which she shared that the Middle East peace agreement about to be signed in Washington, D.C, between Israel and the UAE along with Bahrain has been dubbed the "Abraham Accord." Thank you sister Sue for following the Israeli news and for your sharing with me.
The historic agreement is called the Abraham Accord because it brings the sons of Ishmael and those of Isaac to an agreement table for the first time in more than 2000 years, but it goes way beyond Israel and the UAE, and Bahrain. Kosovo (majority Muslim) and Serbia (majority Orthodox Christian) recently agreed to trade and peace agreements with Israel. As the White House prepares to receive dignitaries from Israel, the UAE and Bahrain tomorrow morning for the signing of the historic Abraham Accord, the world is watching closely to see who would join next. I am expecting Oman to follow in the footsteps of Bahrain. The only deterrent preventing this would be the long-held, close ties between the Omanis and the Iranians. We'll just have to wait and see. Further, the African countries of Chad, Malawi and Madagascar all seem to be ready and willing to align themselves with the Jewish State.
There are some very important implications of these agreements I would like you to know.
Obviously, as allies of Israel, any military attack that Iran or its proxies such as Hezbollah or Hamas would aim at Israel, would also be pointed to Israel's allies. Clearly, the UAE, Bahrain and others have willfully placed their security in Israel's hands by becoming Israel's friends. As would be expected, this has seriously angered the Iranians and Palestinians and we are left to observe how the politics of the Middle East is about to change.
How was Mr. Jared Kushner (Senior Advisor to the White House) and the Trump Administration able to initiate these historic peace arrangements? Couldn't the Obama Administration have accomplished the same? The answer is a resounding 'YES!' Trump is not a magician or some kind of miracle worker! So what stood in the way of this Middle East peace accord under our previous President? I am so glad you asked because it gives me the opportunity to share something which only some of you might already know:
Under the previous, Obama administration, American involvement in Middle East peace depended on the meeting of two criteria. State Department secretary Hillary Clinton, later to be replaced by Mr. John Kerry would make multiple diplomatic mission visits to the ME in their efforts to negotiate peace deals in that part of the world. As conditions for receiving financial help, nations were required by both the US and the UN to ensure that they emphasize (a) Climate Change and (2) promote and protect the LGBTQ agenda. Please allow me to repeat myself here: In order to receive any US or UN assistance, nations were required to forge policies involving less fossil fuel consumption to combat climate change, and promote and defend the LGBTQ agenda. While LGBTQ communities exit in every country, they are not always looked upon kindly, especially in majority Muslim countries. For example, there has never been any gay pride parade in the UAE and while homosexuality is not illegal in Bahrain, it is not generally acceptable behavior. You would imagine that it's difficult to encourage a Koranic believing, Islamic nation to embrace the LGBTQ lifestyle. Not surprisingly therefore, Clinton and Kerry accomplished absolutely nothing by way of a peace deal between ANY Middle East country and Israel.
In 2016, when President Donald Trump took office, he discovered a most corrupt Washington State Department. Workers attached to that department were being fired or chose to resign en masse. New individuals were hired and today, the US secretary of State is a bible believing evangelical Christian - Michael Pompeo. What does that mean? Once again, I'm glad you asked this question.
As you observe the current Middle East political 'shakeup", I hope you will recognize that in EVERY case, countries engaged in successful peace talks with Israel, are all establishing embassies in Jerusalem. Why?? Here's the reason: The Trump administration, which is not working in concert with the UN, had declared that any American help to a Middle East nation would require two conditions: (a) "Freedom of Religion" policies which respect and allow worship by any and all religious adherents, and (2) The establishing of the beneficiary country's embassy in Jerusalem. Kindly allow me to repeat this because I am almost certain that this is new to some of you. Any Middle East country asking for help (financial or otherwise) from the United States will receive such help only when two criteria are met. First, there has to be absolutely no persecution of Christians in any Muslim nation and secondly, the country being helped must place its embassy in Jerusalem to solidify that city as the eternal and undivided capital of Israel. These are the necessary requirements of the Trump Administration. Did you all get that?
If this teaching does/does not provide boredom for those of you reading it, kindly let me know either way, so that I can adjust and tailor my "Just a Thought" publications to keep them more interesting for you. If I do not receive any feedback, I would assume that you are appreciating my "Just a Thought" communications.
Like everyone else, we are monitoring the virus case/death numbers in the San Diego County and waiting to hear when we will be taken off the critical COVID watch so that we can schedule a date for opening FHG. I hope this can happen before the end of this year. I will keep everyone posted.
May the Lord bless you and keep you safe and healthy.
