Just a Thought - 09/03/2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

I trust that all is well with everyone reading this post and I pray that God continues to bless and protect the people of Israel as well as those of our great nation.

I spoke with Deacon George just yesterday and he is requesting that we open up FHG immediately. I tried to reason with him, that for precaution we'll wait another couple of weeks to ensure the safety of opening up. He disagreed with me, saying that unless FHG is fully opened by September 4th, both he and Pastor Brinker have already decided to become members of a Buddhist temple somewhere in East County. I'm not sure the reason for the September 4th date, since we do not hold services on a Thursday, but I am so glad to know that sisters Marie and Norma will not be following their husbands.

Waking up this morning with more western movies on my schedule, I decided to take a minute out of my otherwise usual lazy day and share a thought with you. My thought takes the form of a question, in fact, I'll pose two questions for you.

Here's your first question:

Imagine yourself in a space craft heading towards the sun. You are looking out the window and enjoying God's beautiful blue sky all lit up by that massive and distant flaming ball of hydrogen gas. Suddenly the entire environment goes completely dark, you can see absolutely nothing, you are enveloped by the total blackness of outer space. Still moving towards your destination with zero visibility, when suddenly, everything becomes visible. The sky is lit up and the blazing sun can once again clearly be seen. Your experience has just taught you that although this burning source of hydrogen gas produces all the light we can see, there is an extensive 'gap' between between the earth and the sun where there is a total absence of any light at all. Since neither the sun nor the earth has moved, how can we explain this 'in-between' vast area of darkness?

Here's you second question:

As you are aware, the Trump administration has brokered the first state of normalization in 25 years between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. This is a much bigger accomplishment than most Americans realize, as bible students view it as a step towards the fulfillment of a major bible prophecy. Let me pause here to thank sister Marie for her comment on my last "Just a Thought" post. I wish more of you would send me your comments, albeit nonsensical, but at least I would be very pleased to know that you are reading the posts.

Efforts are being made right now to draft peace agreements with the Israelis and more Gulf Arab States. Jared Kushner is currently in the Middle East negotiating with the leaders of Oman, Bahrain, Libya, Saudi Arabia and many others. Naturally, we wish him well, as everyone has been clamoring for peace in the Middle east for the last 72 years. Here is what I know as an irrefutable fact: Kushner's efforts on behalf of the Trump administration would be largely fruitful. Oman and Bahrain along with others would agree to peace with the State of Israel. Libya on the other hand, will not! Kushner and the world must prepare for a huge disappointment over Libya. What makes me absolutely certain that there will be no normalization of relations between the Arab State of Libya and Israel?

Please send me your answers to both questions asap. As decades-long students of the bible and members of FHG, I am anticipating correct responses, this time.

Just a Thought!
