Let me first apologize for the late publication of your yesterday's installment of bible study. My daughter, Faith was not able to edit and upload it earlier in the day. I trust that everyone is accessing those studies along with everything published on the FHG website. I hope that you are enjoying my submissions and learning from them. Please feel free to comment and include your questions on the FHG webpage. May our great God bless you.
21 February 2017, 10:00 am - Terror group leader Hassan Nasrallah advises Jewish State to count to a million before starting a conflict with Lebanon.
After the Israeli/Lebanon war of 2006, the leader of the acclaimed terror organization, Hezbollah, promised that the Lebanon defeat at the hands of Israel will never again be repeated. During a television interview, the terror chief reiterated a previous threat to unleash thousands of Iranian and Russian made rockets at Israel's nuclear reactor in Dimona and at a huge ammonium nitrate storage tank in Haifa. Hezbollah will not observe any "red lines" in a future war with Israel, Nasrallah warned.
Two days ago, the world watched in horror as a 3,700 ton warehouse stockpile of powdered ammonium nitrate suddenly exploded in Beirut The blast instantly killed at least 130 people and wounded some 4000. Bodies were flung into the Mediterranean as the energy of a 3.5 earthquake was unleashed in Lebanon's main sea port The blast was felt 180 miles away in the Mediterranean country of Cyprus. Most of the city of Beirut is currently without electricity and there are no more available hospital rooms and facilities to take care of the wounded. The air in Beirut has tested as unfit for breathing and may continue to be that way for several weeks or even months. Israel is working with the United Nations to see how best they can ship food and medical supplies along with medical professionals to the suffering in Lebanon. The United States, France, the UAE and others are sending relief supplies.
"May the Lord intervene in this Lebanese crisis and bring comfort to the hurting. There are many Christians living under persecution in that country Lord, please stand with them and give them the courage at this time to speak Jesus to their countrymen."
It is so ironic that Lebanon's stockpile of ammonia, seized from a Ukrainian cargo vessel a few years ago and stored in a warehouse alongside the main port of Beirut saw the 'backfiring' of Hassan Nasrallah's warning threat to Israel in 2017.
Haifa is the fourth largest city in Israel and houses a coastal warehouse containing some 12,000 tons of powdered ammonia. (compare that with the 3,700 tons in Lebanon). Israel uses this product in the manufacture of its plant fertilizers. Can anyone imagine the nuclear-type explosion that would result from an attack on Israel's store of ammonia?
When I saw the television footage of the Beirut explosion, I immediately thought of the Old Testament prophet, Isaiah. I could not help but wonder how much ammonia is Damascus possibly sitting on. What if the complete destruction of Damascus in one hour is the result of an extensive ammonia stockpile? After all, Isaiah prophesied the utter destruction of the ancient capital of Syria but does not tell us how it would happen. Should the city of Damascus be destroyed by some internal explosion, then any accusation against Israel would be false. I have always felt that the kind of details of the destruction in Isaiah 17 could only be the result of a nuclear explosion. What if I am wrong and the Beirut blast is a scary portend of whats about to happen to Damascus?
