Just a Thought - 05/23/2020

It's 12:28 am here in the beautiful town of Ramona, California. My television is tuned to the western movie channel as my fingers playfully run through my COVID-19 beard when suddenly, a novel thought surfaces.

This upcoming Memorial Day weekend may find most of you at home with little to do. Here's an idea for an exciting and satisfying project. May I suggest that you not only reread last Wednesday's bible study lesson, but that you reread it slowly this time and carefully enough to absorb all of its provoking contents. Challenge yourself to think deeply on the information I posited and the questions I posed. Then call around! Consult with FHG friends, family members and neighbors. Just so you know: Deacon JT is discussing last Wednesday's topic with everyone with whom he has contact, including random customers at Lowe's. launch a serious and diligent exploration into what Paul meant when he wrote 1st Corinthians 15 :51 - 52. Then, don't forget to share your discoveries with deacon JT, who in turn will pass them on to me. I want to believe that some of you may in fact happen upon correct responses. Remember that we cannot move beyond Wednesday's study unless you do your part.

Finally, you may have noticed that President Trump is strongly suggesting the opening of America's churches. While we too, would like to resume our usual FHG services, I do suggest that we prayerfully and carefully tiptoe through the current situation instead of carelessly plunging into a totally unpredictable circumstance over which we have absolutely no control. For now, we wait!
