Just a Thought - 04/06/20

In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, may those taking the time to read and understand the following, be blessed.

Just a few hours ago, in a medical science laboratory in Tel Aviv, Israel, coronavirus anti-bodies were reproduced. I suppose all of you are aware that in the US, there is a 3000-member group of CV patients being currently treated with antibody plasma taken from those who have fully recovered from the disease. When a person becomes infected with the covid19, his/her immune capabilities immediately launch into a defense position and begin to produce antibodies to counter the invading virus. We are of course, wonderfully made. (Psalm 139: 14) When an individual recovers from the covid19, his/her blood retains these miracle antibodies. Doctors are able to extract those 'fighters' in blood plasma and inject them into sufferers of CV. Thank the good Lord for providing us with such invaluable science. Israel is RIGHT NOW replicating those antibodies in a lab environment, and this may indicate that we are closer to developing a CV vaccine and appropriate therapeutic treatment than once thought. Please pray with me that the Lord continues to graciously provide this critically needed 'know-how' to His people.

As we approach the Jewish festive period of Passover, we should be reminded that historically, at this time, Jews would read from the Torah (the book of Leviticus) and from the prophets. The reading from the prophets is known as the Haftorah and the specific Passover haftorah is taken from Jeremiah 9: 23, 24.

"Thus says the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories, glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgement, and righteousness, in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord.

Have you noticed that the covid19 is non-discriminatory? It is attacking the wealthy, the poor, the wise and mighty as frequently as it attacks everyone else. (Sister Kecia told me this morning that she sees it as an 'equal-opportunity' virus). Although God is not the source of this virus, He is clearly allowing it. It is my hope that the world would realize that we can be brought to our knees by even an invisible enemy. God can shut down an entire city, country or the world with a virus so small, that it can be seen only though a microscope. The rich, poor, wise, foolish, young, old - no one is exempt from it's savage onslaught.

The Lord replied; " Because your enemies cannot swim!"
